::My iguana has tried to dart away from me when i have gone to get him out of his cage (two or three times), and twice he has been bloodied by it. Not badly, but enough for me to notice the cut. I was wondering what is the best thing to clean this with, and are there any ideas on how i can keep his nose from getting cut on the bars? They are coated of course, and I know that bars are not the best, but I don't have the money yet to build his new enclosure. For now, I have been jsut opening the door and waiting for him to come out on his own. That seems to make it easier on us both. Even though sometimes I still have to chase him down in my room. :)

:Jake,
:On what to clean your iguana's wound with, use Neosporin once a day. DO NOT use Hydrogen Peroxide on reptiles. If the wound extends to the edge of the jaw, You may have to get your liz to open her/his mouth to check for infection. It sounds like with yours getting the mouth open is an easy task.
