Very nice post, horrible title. Not all visitors here are iguana-interested and this may cause a snowball of trouble.
Beware of how you post things. Before reading it I thought you were actually gonna talk about the war...not animals.
...See what I mean?

Besides the front page title, I do agree on the animals of the victims of terrorism.

However, you said (and I quote): "hat's to happen to them when all they've ever known is gone? how are they to live and survive? how do they deal w/ the pain of being injured if there's no one there to rescue them?".

Ask those questions to the families and friends of those 3,000 dead as well.

I agree with you on the animals' feelings. An animal has the mind similar to that of a human child. Therefore, whatever love or affection they feel toward a human being, it is much alike a child's. And should they loose a family member, or the whole family, the impact would be somewhat similar to a child's. And a lot of children or kids lost their mommys and daddies that day.

As for the noble dogs who served to search and rescue for surviors at ground zero, I heard some have died of lung cancer from the fumes.

What u said about animals losing their families happens everyday, not just for a war or terrorist act. Natural disasters, crime or other tragedies cause this. But some do find other loving homes. So there is always hope right?

And don't worry, we have brave men and women fighting overseas to make sure tomorrow morning you will feed your pet and care for it.

Be more careful next time. I am not criticizing you, just wanted to prevent an out of control political debate. I'm watching FOX News, and it has laready started, so I invite all to not talk pro-anti-war crap. Keep it iguana-related ok?

Best regards,

- IJ
