As someone who runs a reptile rescue in N.W. Washington I can only ask you to know what your getting into. To many people think their cool, then don't know what to do once they have a lizard capable of getting six feet long with a tail like a bull whip, sharp claws and strong bite. I think they're wonderful and intelligent reptiles. Just like everything else they all have their own attitudes. Some can be quite tame, some not. I don't mean to talk you out of it. Just want you prepared for iguanas sake. Good Luck. If your near me I currently have three rescue iguanas.
