If this is a male iguana that might be the problem. I have heard (though I own no iguana's so I don't know first hand) that male iguanas can get very agressive towards females (even humans). They tend to get this way more when they wanna mate (which, as a guy, is always. :P) and especially so during a womans menstral (sp?) cycle. Now, I'm no expert on iguanas or anything and I'm not sure if I'll be getting one or not (I have monitors but iguanas eat and act totally different so I need to do my homework first) but this is what I've heard from MANY iguana owners and even from some magazine articles before. Hope this helps.
