Good to know... I'm still thinking about adopting him, after I find out what kind he is. So far, nothing helpful on the internet. My vet is helping me out, though, so maybe I'll find out soon. He is not a blue-tongued, that much I know. He's gold on the bottom with very dark olive green on the top. No stripes, no dots. Closed earholes. Or whatever you call those things.

I called the MARS Society hotline last night, and asked if there was anything we could arrange whereby I would pay the vet bills and they would house him/ adopt him out. But of course the rescuer/rehabber works full time, and already has many sick animals that take lots of time to care for, like every other shelter I've investigated. But she told me I could feed him frozen pinkies, so that's a good start.

Still thinking about it/saving up for it. Still not sure whether it's right or wrong.
