Hi and thanx.....I've read a lot about using this kind of set up and I think my problem is (other than being very new at this) that my enclosure is glass and has a slide screen at the top. The only way to insert any kind of piping would be to cut a hole in the screen...which I'm afraid might get torn and allow the little ones an escape hatch.
I'd like to see a picture of a set up which pipes in humidity....then maybe I could figure out how to do it without compromising the enclosure. I've seen lots of pix of different cages/enclosure....but not one with the kind of set up you're talking about. Do you have a pic or know where I can find one to take a peek at?
:we use one as well. They are quiet and produce a lot of humidity You can actually set it to the point where it produces too much humidity. And with PVC it is easy to plumb to the cage so the unit is outside the cage and doesn't get "painted". The extra humidity in your house is good for humans too.
