it can run up to 30 hours on a filling unless you run it full blast. I have mine set on low and usually fill it once a day. It is an ultrasonic humidifier as opposed to a vaporizer. Vicks also makes a ultrasonic. You can find both at Wal-Mart for about 40 dollars.
