I've noticed that too. Sneakers will ignore the heating pad on the speaker near where I sit and find a hide spot sometimes. I thought it was because she was just trying to hide from me. Our turtle does the same thing. Had a heating pad in a corner of the living room, but at first he would prefer my closet and he would be all cold. I put together a hide spot on top of the heating pad in the corner and now the its the turtle favorite spot. I guess I will need to do something like that for Sneakers when she is out as well.
