That's what I thought. For a few bucks, I can have a very nice set-up and I won't have to worry about temp or humidity. I do like the idea of an outside 'summer house'. But again, some wood, some screen or chicken wire, and for very little money.
Another bird-inspired idea is the 'playpen'. My cockatiel had one that I could move from room to room and she always had a safe perch. I like to let my iggie out but I do have a cat, a dog and lots of places for him to hide in. I think a kind of playpen, sturdy, yet moveable might be a good idea. I can stand it in a sunny window and still be able to keep an eye on him.
