The individual iguanas vary in growth, just like people. One theory might be that they grow their tail first and then fill out with their body. With people, the fingers/toes grow first, then hands /feet, then arms/legs, and THEN the torso. Perhaps it's the same or similar way with iguanas?

:Just wondering if my ig is growing at a normal rate or not.
:He was measured in oct and was 8 cm snout to vent, measured him today and he was 11cm snout to vent. His snout to tail was 33 cm and today it was 41cm. that is an overall growth of 8 cm, Why is his tail also growing so much faster that his body?
:thanks
