I'm concerned that he may be out of breeding season now (I'll know for sure within the next month or two...). He has been eating insane amounts of food, which doesn't seem indicative of breeding.
Also, I have tried showing him no fear, but he doesn't seem too impressed. When he is in one of his moods, forget it... Giving him his food pisses him off... He might as well be an alligator!
:Unfortunately this is just the way it is sometimes. Many times, they will return to normal once breeding season is over so all your taming is not for nothing! I would just continue doing what you are doing (and be careful). Don't act afraid, but give him some space when he is at his worst.
