you're note getting my point, Flavia. Iguanas can be the best pets in the world, but they aren't for everyone. If someone saw you talking about how great they were, they might go and buy one and not know what they're getting into.
Iguanas are large lizards, and def. not for beginners. They CAN be aggressive, and they CAN be tame as ever. It is only through the careful research and time we invested in the iguanas that grace our presence that we are priveleged to say we have great, healthy iguanas. On the other hand, someone who didn't research the iguana and just bought it because they heard that it was a great pet would most likely get in over their head.
Bottom Line: Iguanas are not for the inexperienced "herper." Iguanas can (and usually will) be big, aggressive, and dangerous. They are wild animals that are not to be taken lightly. They demand respect, or else you'll get yourself into a heap of trouble; be it from the iguana itself or from authorities that are prosecuting you for a case of neglect and / or abuse.
I am just trying to keep iguanas from the grasps of impulse buyers. I am trying to let some facts drain into the minds of those out there that are observing this forum from afar. I do not want to see another iguana like Kahlua (or any other) in the state that she was in again (and her case wasn't even that bad). THAT would be my utopia.
