Thanks Kitty...I read an article on fire ants earlier that was very informative...talked about the horned toad impact in Texas too implied it was horned toads dying from chemical proliferation of their food source. I got my horned toad from Oklahoma...he's dead anyway at least no darn fire ant ate him alive right! Those imported red invicta fire ants.from S. America ..came to California from Texas via beehives transported a few years ago & they do have natural predators...in phorrid (?) fly...I'll try & give you the link .its from some university in Texas...pretty interesting..you can draw up your own conclusions....Anyway..Im fire ant-ed out!
...maybe boil them nasty critters(only make sure they are the red invicta fire ant... please don't kill a horned toads lunch!)
