What kind of wire is it? Yes, all wire cages are known for igs losing nails. Chicken wire is really bad though...wouldn't suggest using that type. It is impossible to tell you how big your iguana should be since genetics and health issues play a large part of it...sizes vary. Since your ig lost his tail, you should measure from snout to vent (SVL) to get a more accurate measurement.


:It seems my 1 year old igg has lost most of his nails, only a total of 13 remain on his feet alltogether. Could this be because he climbs on his wire mesh enclosure even though I provide two very large peices of driftwood. Also how big is a normal one year old iguana. Mine has had some problems in the past, like a broken leg, a tail that fell off(don't know why or how) he is either a foot or a lil' more in length. Pleas respond
