NEED SOME HELP WITH MY IGGS TOES/AND SIZEING

It seems my 1 year old igg has lost most of his nails, only a total of 13 remain on his feet alltogether. Could this be because he climbs on his wire mesh enclosure even though I provide two very large peices of driftwood. Also how big is a normal one year old iguana. Mine has had some problems in the past, like a broken leg, a tail that fell off(don't know why or how) he is either a foot or a lil' more in length. Pleas respond
