So back we go to the vet to get Tempest's tummy checked. Its healed up nicely, but I have been so worried about the whole thing. Dr. V was very impressed, not only with how well he has healed but also how well behaved he was! Tempest came out for quite a cuddle before Dr. V came in the office, and remained well behaved and calm the whole time, I was so proud!
The really exciting thing, is that Tempest has gone from 664gm to 966gms since I brought him home!! He's still shedding like crazy, but now almost falls asleep in the tub as I scrub him with a soft toothbrush. In the last two weeks with all the regular handling, because I had to to treat him, Tempest has turned to mush, he has become so sweet and friendly. He still tail whips but its a half-hearted thing, though he still will not take food from my hand at all. I can't believe it is finally starting to happen! Tempest just may become a fat, healthy, friendly ig yet :) What a wonderful Christmas present from him to me, Tempest's trust.
