POOR IG! I'm glad a caring person found it! :) First thing to do would be to have a vet check-up. Make sure the aren't any parasites (that might even be given to your BDs) and see what can be done for those toes. Also Give you a place to start from. You said you've Read the basics... what specific questions do you have? Minimum cage size for an adult would be 6'h x 6'l x 3'd . You said three foot long. Hard to say age cause you don't know what kind of care it had. Just remember Igs are veggatarians! Greens rich in Calcium are a MUST! NO CRIX! Might even help to get a calcium suppliment in this case.... But first talk to a vet. That's your first step. and please ask any questions you might have or think of. :) Good for you for taking in the ig! Thumbs up to you! :P
:hi, i am usually over on the BD forum but on XMAS eve my friend found a 3foot iguana in the middle of the street!!!! she is scared of reptiles but feared for its life so she scooped it up and called me. here in the desert the days have been somewhat warm (for xmas) but the nights have been below freezing... i never had one before and i have been reading alot and all my cages are too small(i have and breed BD) he seems to be healthy BUT he is blind in one eye and a few broken toes..... with these injuries and the lizard being in the middle of the street in december, i do not want to look for his owner... i am planning on building a cage this week SO any info on cages or tips on health please respond..... i have read all the "basics" THANKS
