I'm so sorry to hear about Zoey...
>>We tried sugar water to hydrate her and give her glucose (my mom is a vet tech...well, somewhat)
A simple sugar and water solution can actually increase dehydration as it draws fluids out of other cells (which is why it is a useful tool to try in simple cloacal and hemipenal prolapses: the fluid in the swollen everted tissue is hopefully drawn out enough to enable the tissue to slide back into the vent), so a better choice is one of the elecstrolyte solutions made for reptiles, or veterinarian use, or a pediatric electrolyte solution.
:I just found out that my dad painted the house without shutting and sealing off my door. Could it have been from the paint fumes?
Yes. Paint, solvents, glues (such as carpet glues), new particle board and plywood, household cleaning products, even burning candles and incense can put such demands on the body that it can impair or intoxicate (which is, when you think about it, what poisoning is) a healthy animal. Animals under chronic stress, which even healthy captive iguanas are, will have more difficulty ridding themselves of environmental toxins.
If she was never seen by a reptile vet, there's no way of knowing what other factors might have been in play...and the only way to know exactly why she died, or what caused the death itself, is to have a vet do a complete http://www.anapsid.org/necropsy.htmlnecropsy...
(For anyone interested, you'll find information on Chemical Sensitivities at my CND site.)
