OK... my friend bought a little iguana about a month ago, and it's been living in a 50 gallon tank. We finished his new enclosure last night (5'x5'x4') and put him in it. He's just a tiny little guy and not very patient yet, so instead of trying to find one of the ways to climb down from his basking spot, he just JUMPED! On the way down he whacked his head pretty hard on another ledge, but seems fine. So... after wandering around his cage for a few minutes, he climbs back up to his basking ledge.... sure enough about an hour later we hear him jump off again! Will he figure out that he can climb up and down before he hurts himself? How can we keep him from just bailing out?
Thanks guys!
