There is a compromise :) Give the Ig a small room of its own
like a spare bedroom. Buy a ceramic heater that can be programmed to say 80 degrees. It kicks on only when the temp
drops and kicks off when desired temp is reached. In addition,
put a heat source and UVB above the area that your Ig spends the
most time. By heating only the room you can leave your home
at about 70 degrees. You must keep the temperatures up or your
Ig will suffer eventually. I am using the same method mentioned
above but I have a very large wood and glass enclosure for mine
but this should work also for free roaming. If you wish to
use an enclosure take a hard look at the one you are using. If
it is substandard in any way to your Ig that is why it is nose
rubbing. Ex: Maybe it is too small?
Hope this helps :)
