in my very very humble opinion, I prefer a friendly approach.The " I am your master" approach, as same books recommend, freeze the iguana but dont tame it.When I tried to use the "IM the Alpha male" approach I only got an frozen ig with a stinky (sp??)look!!What do you think??

################################################################# :I would love to know that ig! We always figured that Lizard would go in the toilet if he could. Without any training or incentive from the human members of the household, he would get down from his basking area, march across the living room, into the bathroom, and go behind the toilet to do his business. If he had a way to get up to the bowl, I seriously think he might have gone in there. :-) After we moved, it screwed up his bathroom habits... but once again, he uses the bathroom as his bathroom (but we now have him tub-trained).
::Just as a testament to their intelligence, I know of one particular ig that not only uses the toilet to go to the bathroom but also flushes when he's finished.....
