how long should I soak it for?

I dipped his tail for about a minute in a cup of betadine diluted to "a strong tea coloured" solution; that is what it said on the bottle...I guess instead of panicking, it is always good to read the instructions first...sheesh.

:I went to give Joey tubby time and noticed that the small tip end of his tail regrowth (2.5")is cracked through and bleeding; it is going to have to come off but there is cartilage in there so I guess we will head to the vet tomorrow morning (today is a holiday...vets are closed).
:I put some ozonol cream on it. I have some betadine but I'm not sure how much I need to put in how much water, and if it would be a good thing to soak when it is bleeding; is there anything I can put on it to stop the bleeding right away?
