i've gone through too many cheap analog thermometers and humidity gauges, and i'm at the point where i just want to stop replacing things and get something that will last a while. for instance, in my golden gecko's tank the thermometer says 50 degrees. there's a heat pad in there, as well as a low wattage red bulb lamp on top, and the ambient temperature in the appartment is at least 70-75. and the humidity gauges are even less accurate than the thermometers.
