Thank you very much for the information. I have 8 beardies and know he might like something larger. I have been reading up on them and will do some more reading. I do want to adopt, that way I am not encouraging breeding. I will look at the sites. I live in MI so I thought I would have to adopt around here. Thanks again and I may have to refer back to you LOL

:Females also have the aggresive moments during mating season..(my female is going through it right now)...But if you use caution there shouldn't be a problem. As for getting a younger iguana rather than adoption: In my experience adopting an iguana is a much better way to go. There are so many of them out there that it is sad...and a lot of them have great temperments but their owners do not want to deal with their care. I also have an 8 month old iguana.....he/she is very skiddish....Have you done your necessary research on diet/housing/heating/lighting? If you are interested Melissa Kaplans site is a very good resource...also, Jen Swafford's pages. Feel free to ask me any questions that you can not find answers too....hopefully I will be able to help....
