Hmmm... OK, if she's not that close to laying them on her own I'm not sure how effective oxytocin is going to be. It's worth a shot but depending on just how premature she is don't be surprised if a single shot doesn't work. Just keep that in mind. And yes, she is quite possibly robbing from her body to produce eggs. We've got a female here that, despite loading her on calcium every year, the egg laying process just seems to keep taking it's toll. The only thing we feel that we CAN do to correct this at this point is to spay her.
The thing about supplimentation is that, as you know, you can also have too much of a good thing. Keep an eye on just how much you are supplimenting. Just FYI, T-Rex makes a "microstick" calcium powder named "Bone Aid". Ingredients list: Calcium Carbonate 400 grams....
NOW, I'm curious. What, in Tums, makes them block D3 absorption?
