I'm sorry, but as a dogowner, and past-iguana owner, there is not way to be more attached to a reptile than to a dog.
Dogs give you so much more in return.
Sure, there is more TLC involved with iguanas, because they are extic, and do not (philosofically speaking) belong in homes.
But c'mon.....a dog is a dog.
Iguanas won't play with you, comfort you when u have the blues, or give unconditional love in return. They won't protect you if someone attacks you or your family, and they cannot show the level of intelligence and personality that dogs do.
A dog does all that and more.
I love iguanas, and was very attached to my Soni, but no animal can beat my fox terrier.
In the words of Charlie Brown: "Happiness i a warm pup" while he was affectionately holding Snoopy.
You just cannot beat the bond and attachment one has with his or her own dog. I
