Thanks everyone!

I just bought a 100 watt Zoo med bulb for him. I'm trying something different this winter. He hates being in a cage (giant modified dog crate) as this was the only place that I could really keep warm for him, so perhaps a greater intensity heat lamp, combined with his usual free roaming lifestyle will help him a little more.

I'm moving in about a month, so I may have more room to build a larger cage, if I can't make a good setup in my new bedroom for him. I'm going to play it by ear, but with his best interests in mind.

Things have changed a lot in my life since I rescued him back in 1991, including my interest in keeping herps. Truthfully, I really wish I didn't have him, but I have not found anyone who could put up with him, or be responsible in his husbandry. This is definitely my last iguana. I have learned so much in keeping him, but also realize that the dedication it takes to keeping these animals on a long term basis is very time and financially consuming. I wish more folks thought 10-20 years ahead, and maybe so many animals would not have to suffer needlessly in homes, pet stores, and reptile shows in this country.
