Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's emailed and posted help over the last couple of days. Ig is looking better, I think its a her but really won't know for sure till she's in better shape. Last night I bit the bullet and decided to bath her, she was filthy!! Only a couple of minor scratches too. Once she realized she wasn't going to be hurt, she loved splashing around in the tub. Two water changes and over an hour later, I had a much happier, warmer ig on my hands :)

While I was bathing, a good friend was cage cleaning. The bottom is now covered by an old, worn out, comfy towel and she really likes that. When the lights went out and over to the infrared heat lamp, she went into her hide box, turned around a few times just like a dog, and plunked down with her head on her tail and was sound asleep in minutes. For the first time since she came home, she looked comfortable and relaxed!!

I still have a ton of work ahead of me, including a thorough vet exam as well as getting her eating properly again. I spent several hours doing more research on the net last night, including cage designs, and I plan on spending Friday night and the weekend building a nice, big enclosure. At least I'm confident now that she's handleable, clean, and starting to recover. I still don't know how ANYone can leave a living creature in a parking lot to die, cold, alone and frightened :( She's staying with me now though!
