How to tub train???

My male iguana Niko has been "relieving himself" on my floor since I took his tub away. He cannot use the tub anymore because I had to scrub it down good so my sun can use it.
Ive tried laying out large trays of water where he poops, but nothing has working, he will mess in the kitchen, the herp room, the sunroom, anywhere he can....btw..he is a freeroamer and does not like to be caged.
Any ideas as to what I could try??
Would be much appreciated.
Either way, if it doesnt work, ill still clean up after him :-) *sigh*
