Thanks for the info. Since I live in SoCal, my igs get a lot of sunlight, and I do use merc vapor bulbs for them indoors. I can easily make an outdoor basking enclosure for the similis. If they are so high-strung, I definitely will need to cage them... My green igs are very easy, they do not roam much, and can be left outdoors to bask in the tree or the garage roof without much supervision. When they get hungry, they go indoors, and beg for food in front of the fridge.
