I was talking this weekend with a sales rep from a major company that makes reptile lights. He said yes there bulb puts out 4.5% of uvb but only right at the bulb. he said at 6 inches away its 2% and anything over that is pointless. He was laughing about how bad the bulbs were, but people keep hyping them. He said that his company wont even put the time and money into the UVB heat style bulb, because they are just as bad, which I thought was even a stretch, however how do you fight with a guy who is supposed to be selling you the product. He doesn't say UVB is not neccessary just the bulbs are rediculous. Thought many people might like to hear this. Also I understand many of you want to know who said this, but I cant really say, as its not good business to say such things. However you can trust me as you like, but I have no reason to lie.
