u can try a very "unorthodox" and quiet nasty method used by a friend of mine, when he had a similar problem with his BD.
get the bugs, and literally "squash" them to a pulp and mix them on the veggies or fruits.
start with more insect to veggie, and slowly increase the vegetable content and decrease the insect content. leave some pieces of the insects intact for the iguana to "smell" and taste it.
it might be gruesome, but hey, we humans squeesh bugs everyday, so it shouldn't be too hard. eventually he'll get used to the vegetables. add RED beans to the mixture if u like, since they are rich in iron, and so help substitute for the bugs.
