Tail regrowth

Hello again everyone,
I had posted a while back describing how Joey lost his tail and we went to the Vet Emergency office...*smiles*.
Well, his tail is starting to grow back but looks very weird. It is dark...which I expected...but it has no scales and is very skinny and is starting to curve. It has curved even more than what this pic shows.
Is this normal for tail regrowth?
