Just some happy stuff and a question:)

On a happy note Spot came out of his cage on his own for the first time yesterday. It was very nice out so I figured I'd take him outside for a while. I opened his door and went to the bathroom to fill his spray bottle. When I came back he was sitting in front of his cage on the outside. So cute, he titled his head to the side and looked up at me then started walking around licking the floor. Before I let him do this more often though I have to iggy proof the room. I know this is a silly question but what is the best way to do this?
