That's something I would like to know...Do wild iguanas have mites and stuff problems???
I was on the Brazilian iguana forum and one Brazilian herper posted a photo of a real wild iguana that was found under a car in a small village of northern Brazil. The iguana was soooo healthy and big and beautiful...Thats why I am asking this question.
Perhaps (only a guess) the sun kills parasites...Thats why wild iguanas dont have this problem.
What do you think???

:What about mites and stuff?? Its not the fact that it has been outside, it's the fact that little blood thirsty parasites MIGHT be on there...and I dont think the lizuuurrdd would be very happy with me if he developed an infestation. IM not too keep on putting chemicals or anything on wood. I think I'll just give it the old Boiling Hot Water routine...THANX GUYS!

:::After reading the post below about branches, how did you(everyone) go about as to sterilizing them? Bleach? Boiling Hot water? None at all?? I found some vines that are ridiculously similiar, if not the same species, as the vines used for decor over at www.jworlds.net. They are still living. I would like to sterilize those bad boys; however, if you notice, they are quite large. I have seen someone sterilizing large found pieces of wood on their grill. I dont think the 'rents would appreciate that much. Any tips, tricks, or hints about wood sterilization would do quite nicely. Thank you for reading my very extended post :oP!
