We certainly will keep you and Meggy in our prayers. I had checked with a friend who lives in Pa to see if she knew of anyone near your area. She did know someone but they weren't all that close & she didn't think she'd give him as high of "marks" as she, you & I would want from a vet doing surgery on one of our babies.

Although I'm sorry that we had to have our female spayed in an emergency situation, I know that I will never be sorry each season when we would be going thru the gravid business and all the worry it entailed. That's just my old humble opinion and it works for me because I'm a worry-er.

The vet has probably shared this with you already and I would assume the procedure is the same across the country....ours had to be on oral Baytril for 14 days. It DID cause her to have decreased appetite. When I asked our vet about this he said it wasn't known to do this; however, online reptile friends told me that they noticed this as a side effect also when they'd used it for differing reasons. (Sort of like baby drs. will tell you teething doesn't cause fever/diarrhea but most moms will tell you that it DOES! LOL) Just thought I'd mention the appetite thing so you wouldn't get worried needlessly.

You two have a safe journey and the family and I will be praying for you both.
