Zach, How old is your little ig? How big is your ig? Do you have a hot rock in the aquarium? If so you need to remove it. The hot rocks can cause burns. I also use sticks, actually branches. Yes, you need to soak the sticks in bleach and water, rinse, and let them dry overnight. If you picked the sticks up outside they can have insects on them. Without knowing what the sore is, you probably should see if your parents will let her take her to the vet. If you use an ointment try a triple antibotic ointment. The flouresent light should be full sprectrum lighting that produces UV rays, like ReptiSun 5.0.
