Actually, that is wrong, while it is true rice paddies cover a huge suface area, water depth is usually maintained at 10-15 centimeters, or 4-6 inches. Not several feet. Therefore, I am correct in my statement earlier that rice paddies are shallow. However, the trenches are deep, but the trenches only make up a small amount of the rice paddy, and I was reffering to the paddy not to the trenches.
