It makes sense to get an iguana neutered or spayed. With males, this would eliminate the hell of breeding season, when the iguana goes 'wild' and dangerous. Also, with female iguanas this would eliminate the problems of the eggs not being laid, and all that goes with all the egg stuff (mine is either a male or to young to be gravid, ig is 34 inches). So it makes sense to get them spayed or neutered, so why don't 'we' as iguana owners do that? 'We' do it with our cats or dogs, (at least i do). Also I just wanted to comment on the article saying iguanas are often called 'beginner pets' HA HA HA. Thats a funny one.
