Read these links I post below:

Now to get you started immediately...
1. Trash the dogfood and replace with calcium rich greens like collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, escarole, endive, watercress, dandelion, some squash, a little mango, papaya, or berries.
2. You need a large cage...trash the container and build one! Most people have cages that are approximately 6 ft tall!
3. Get a UV light. Get the Zoomed Iguana 5.0 light or the Zoomed Powersun or the Active UV light (the first light it $20 online, the others are about $50) If you get the cheaper one, you need an additional heat lamp. Get a thermometer to monitor your temps. These lights cannot be blocked by glass or platic to get the UV.
4. Get a calcium supplement or used crushed cherry tums on his food until he is healthy! Take him out in the sun with a leash (hold him in your arms) everyday for as long as you can.
5. Mist him and give him warm baths to hydrate him.
6. Take a poop sample to the vet because he probably needs medicine for parasites.
THESE ARE THINGS YOU MUST DO RIGHT AWAY!!!! I am not trying to scare you but it is the truth that your iguana will die if you do not apply these basic care guidelines. Without the UV light and proper diet he will get metabolic bone disease....his bones will then break and he will become very deformed. He will weaken and die. Take heart, it is not too late to save him though.
The iguana pictured here was taken from the Iguana Den website. Vito here got MBD and died a horribly painful death.
