Knowing where this iguana is being offered for adoption sets my mind at ease. They have an excellent reputation for rehabbing sick igs and placing them in well-suited homes. If they say the MBD is resolved and that the ig's health has been restored, I would tend to believe them.
I agree, Flavia, that losing a rescue when you are a child is very traumatic, but I also believe I would not be half the person I am today had my grandfather not taught me how to help rescue animals starting when I was 7 years old. Taking in a rescue at a young age can also be a wonderful and rewarding experience.
