I raise the roaches as food for other pets (tegu and sometimes the monitor). What is nice is that they eat the stuff the igs don't eat (leftovers)although they get fed a bowl of chicken mash and sometimes my leftovers(vegetables, fruit and pasta). They don't bite and they don't zip around like common cockroaches. I can see why they would make interesting pets since they tend to just wander around slowly and under the right conditions they do breed quickly. CW
