Hi Everyone!
My 'picky eater' isn't picky anymore! Myka will eat just about anything I offer her now. Not a lot of it, but she isn't stuck on just one or two food items anymore. She still isn't eating on her own, but I haven't tried to get her away from handfeeding yet. This is changing though, starting tomorrow! I just spent 4 hours making up salads for the next 4 days. It wasn't until AFTER I was finished that I realized that I could have used a food processor to cut everything up little! Here is what I put in each salad:
20 grams collard greens
15 grams fresh picked turnip greens
10 grams fresh picked dandelion greens
5 grams fresh picked mature alfalfa
40 grams butternut squash
40 grams fresh picked green/yellow beans
30 grams fresh picked snap peas
20 grams acorn squash
20 grams green pepper
20 grams fresh picked carrot
20 grams zucchini
10 grams papaya
10 grams blueberries
It doesn't sound like I have very much greens in there, but it looks like a lot. Should I have more greens and less vegetables? Myka doesn't eat this all, and hardly touches the fruit (I just think it makes the salad look better!). She will eat all the greens I feed her, and most of the vegetables though.
Does this sound like a good diet to you? Thanks for your help! Wendy :)
