Hi, I'm new to this forum and I don't have an iguana, yet. I'm researching and reading right now, before I get one. But I have some ideas, I don't know if any of them can help, but I'd love to help you.
Does she throw herself at you when you're close? Does she really try to bite? Have you noticed if she trashes around in her cage more if you're in the same room, or less? Try to stand outside the door and listen to her.
I would spend as much time as possible in her room. I would sit outside her cage and read/watch tv/sit by the computer. Maybe she is feeling lonely. Maybe she starts looking at you, instead of imagining things - if that's what she does. Maybe she starts remembering that you're nice and won't harm her.
Could you let her free roam the whole room while you're there? Or are you afraid that she will bite and hurt you?
Maybe she needs to move around more. I've read that female iguanas walks miles when they're gravid, before they lay their eggs. Maybe she's feeling very uncomfortable and has a lot of extra energy she can't get rid of in the enclosure?
Are you absolutely sure that she hasnt hurt herself? Maybe she's in pain? She may have broken something, a rib? a toe? And gets mad because it hurts.
Please keep us posted. Her behavior seems very strange and I feel really sorry for you - and her.
Good luck!!
/Sofia
