Due to lack of money, I'm using one of these bulbs...it was designed for birds, but my mom said they are also said to be GREAT for reptiles too. They are called Avilux Full Spectrum Compact Fluorescent Lamp. They are 20 watt bulbs (I'm just gonna give ya most of what the box says), they have/put out 5000K Color Temperature, 86 CRI, equal to a 75 watt incandescent Bulb, Fits Standard screw-in socket, Flicker free, Up to 10 times longer life than an incandescent bulb. They have a website too: www.avitech.com
I do remember they were expensive...50 bucks a piece.
I'm also using a 65 watt indoor floodlight for heating/basking. I came home today and found it basking under the Avilux bulb. It's got BEAUTIFUL colors! I'm using a piece of pvc with holes drilled through it for grip as a main basking "branch." Also how often should I feed it? Once per day or twice?
