ya know, i wonder if it *ITCHES* cuz it's healing and that's why she started rubbing it again????
maybe try using an antibiotic *ointment or cream* on it instead of just the betadine ... an ointment or cream would help keep the healing tissues softer ~ less dried out + itchy ...

now Myka, STOP picking at it!!! gooooooooood girl!!! *headrubbies*
