Yes, Lizard and I are already fairly well bonded. :-) I think I'd be endangering that bond if I repeatedly put him in a deep bath, though. Hehe, I don't think Lizard is worried about going down the drain - he is over 3 feet long. He just hates being in the water. Sometimes he very neatly positions himself over the drain so when he poops it goes straight down. :-) Isn't he wonderful? Nothing to clean up when he does that.

:well, if Lizard is clinging *to you* then isn't that already sort of forming a bond??? trusting that *you* are a safe thing to hold on to???
:yes, i'll admit the logic may sound a bit twisted!
:*grin*
:but that's how iZ + i started out with bath/bond time ... early on in his life, (before he + i discovered this forum!) he had become *so* constipated that he was bloated + obviously in discomfort ~ all i could think to do was try to get him to soak in a warm bath, that maybe that would help those "tummy" muscles to relax and *Let Go* ...

:so with me leaning over the side of the tub and little iZ hanging on to my arm for dear life, we had "tub time" ...
:*Very Brief* tubtime to begin with ~ a few minutes at a time and then snuggle in a bath towel ...

:he learned he *could* trust me and whaddya know!? discovered that warm water was NOT such a bad thing after all ... especially when he discovered that he could train me to rub his back jussssssssst riiiiiiiight .... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...
:hour long tub soaks became very very common!!!

:*grins*
:Bon.
:(but REALLY Lizard, you'll LIKE it and i promise you will NOT go down the drain!!!)
