Joan...jeez..got me stumped! Mites do tend to hang out on the head and neck area of an Ig just cuz the way the scales lay its easier access to a juicy meal. Can you move those little dots (lwith the end of a closed tweezers?) Doesn't sound like blackening skin syndrome (mostly on the sides, belly) Feo has one such dot (raised kinda like a little scab) on the top of his head that hangs around even after a shed.
