What I have done over the years is this:
Read everything I can find. Make a list of all the foods that the majority of people agree on. I feed my iguana primarily those foods which people have a general concensus about being healthful. Those foods that some agree and others disagree I either avoid completely or offer very infrequently. Variety is the key. Really one can drive themselves crazy because there is a lot of contradictory information out there. I do look at the source of the info. too. We should continue to research for ourselves as much as we can, but in the end, without doing lots of experiments, we will really never really know! I try not to take a lot of unnecessary risks with Sleestack. I'd rather be safe than sorry. When my last ig, Salvador, died..I was so crushed that I vowed to be very strict with my next iguana's diet and do everything I could to ensure he would live a longer, healthier life.
