Meggy's Mom...Ive read that using a hamper (aeriated) filled with moss/vermiculite works great as a eggingbox for Ig. My female was spayed last year & Im now thinking seriously of having my male "fixed" too. To spay an Ig best when early stages of being gravid (ovaries are large, easily moved outside the body cavity can be removed without injury to other organs) The vet will remove any eggs, some may be in the stages of being reabsorbed. It cost me 250 dollars. Well worth it to me.Its more dangerous NOT to spay her (egg-binding can kill em).
My two cents
